¿Qué aprendemos ahora? What are we learning?
¡Trabajemos juntos!
Let's work together!
In First Grade, one of the most important things we focus on is oral language. Talking to your children not only increases their knowledge, but also fosters their language. Talking to your children strengthens your relationship with them, fosters their social abilities, and is also super fun. This will allow them to comprehend the words in books much better, their written language will be richer and more interesting. Above all, you will be providing them with a vital tool: the ability of communicating effectively. |
Lectura y Escritura
Ayudenlos a observar y tomar notas. |
Reading and Writing
Read and talk about poems. Poems play with the words, have short lines and some times rhyme. Assist your child on researches about questions they might have. It can be anything around them. Observe with them and make notes. |
Math
We are working on Place Value, and comparing numbers from 1 to 130. Count objects with your children, practice representing numbers using numbers or number sentences. You can also write a number from them and ask them to say the number aloud, describing it this way: Example: 123 "One hundred and twenty three. This number has one hundred, two tens and three ones" |
